“Lizzie McGuire, you are an outfit repeater”

For years we’ve been taught by celebrities that repeating an outfit is the ultimate sin! If you cast your mind back, I’m sure you can hear Lizzie McGuire being shamed for repeating a dress at her high school graduation.

Although we still have this in the back of our minds, in recent years more and more famous faces have been repeating outfits. Kate Middleton and Kiera Knightly have been spotted wearing the same dresses and coats to multiple events, even Dame Helen Mirren has given outfit repeating the go ahead wearing the same dress on 3 separate occasions

Maybe Lizzie was on to something after all, with different accessories you can transform a garment into a completely different look. Layer a jumper or necklaces over an old dress, even just changing your shoes and bag can make it feel good as new.

Repeating outfits is not only good for your bank account but for the planet. Taking active steps to reduce the amount of clothing going to landfill is going to do the planet wonders.
